XII Półmaraton Wierchami

The 12th Wierchami Half Marathon is a mountain race held in the picturesque Sącz Beskids, near Rytro. The half-marathon course follows challenging mountain trails with numerous aid stations, offering participants beautiful views and a genuine off-road challenge. The event is organized by the Visegrad Marathon Association, which looks after runners’ comfort and safety. It’s a great opportunity for mountain-running enthusiasts to test themselves on a demanding but attractive course.

The race starts at 3:00 a.m. in the courtyard of Rytro Castle (for the 100 km distance). The route follows a variety of mountain trails, including the Main Beskid Trail, with numerous aid stations and demanding climbs, such as the ascent to Wielki Rogacz. The organizer recommends using suitable trail-running gear, including shoes and technical clothing, due to the changeable weather and difficult terrain. The event offers various distances, activities for families, regional food, special merchandise for the fastest runners, and a relaxation area with Piwniczanka.
