Race description
The 54th Józef Żylewicz Memorial is a prestigious athletics meet organized annually since 1973 by the LECHIA Gdańsk Athletics Club. The event commemorates the outstanding coach and sports activist Józef Żylewicz, one of the founders of KS LECHIA Gdańsk and a co-creator of the Polish national athletics team's successes. The Memorial takes place at the Athletics and Rugby Stadium in Gdańsk and combines sporting professionalism with openness to the local community, attracting athletes from Poland and abroad. As part of the Memorial, there is also the Amateur 3000m Race "Fast Arrow of the North," open to all running enthusiasts, with no age limits or sports requirements.
