The Winter Holy Cross Mountains Marathon is a unique tourist event held in the picturesque Holy Cross Mountains, around Chęciny and Ciekoty. Participants can choose between two routes: the Royal Battle and the Knight's Charge, which lead through natural terrain in challenging winter conditions. This challenge attracts hundreds of runners and hiking enthusiasts from all over Poland each year, offering a unique atmosphere and beautiful views. Organizers ensure the safety and comfort of participants by providing refreshment and control points along the route.

Start packages can be collected in person at designated dates and locations, including the Regional Tourist Information Center in Kielce and the European Geological Education Center in Korzecko. The Royal Battle starts at 7:00 AM, and the Knight's Charge at 9:00 AM. Participants must have mandatory equipment and prepare for winter conditions. The start package is issued only to individuals with a signed Athlete Card and an ID document. The event does not conduct official time measurement, focusing on tourism and outdoor activity, with tourist attractions and a community atmosphere.
