Race description
Panewnicki Bieg Dzika is a recreational running and Nordic Walking event held in the scenic Panewniki forests in Katowice. The competition takes place on a loop approximately 4,882 metres long, which can be completed up to four times, with markers every kilometre. The event promotes an active lifestyle and education about proper conduct in forest areas. Both recreational participants and athletes affiliated with sports clubs may take part. The organisers are the Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice and the Katowice State Fire Service.

The time limit for completing the course is 3 hours. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during check-in. Entry fees are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to a subsequent event if requested by the Thursday before the event, by 3:00 p.m. Participants over 18 must sign a declaration accepting responsibility for their participation or provide a medical certificate. The event includes running and Nordic Walking competitions, a 3-hour time limit, online registration, discounts for employees and students, and medals and prizes for participants.
