Race description
The 8th Open Academic Championships of Łomża in night street running is an annual sports event organized by the Łomża Academy under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Łomża. The race takes place on June 20, 2026, at 9:00 PM on the streets of Łomża, offering two routes: 10 km with PZLA certification and 5 km without certification. The event aims to commemorate the founding of the Łomża Academy and promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Participants must be at least 18 years old, and the time limit for completing the route is 1.5 hours.

Additional information
Participant limit: 100 competitors for 5 km and 100 for 10 km plus organizer’s pool. Verification of participants at the Race Office on the day of the race from 19:00 to 20:45. After 20:45, the office closes. Registered persons beyond the limit can start but without a starter pack (backpack). Identity documents are required when collecting the pack. Minors must provide parental or legal guardian consent. The 10 km route is PZLA certified, 5 km without certification; limit of 100 competitors per distance; start and verification in Łomża; night street race.
