The 8H GRF Ultramarathon “Szychta na Gichcie” is a unique running event held on the forest trails of the Palowice Lake District. The race lasts 8 hours, during which participants take on an endurance challenge and enjoy being close to nature. The event is organized by the Luxtorpeda Association and attracts fans of prolonged physical exertion. Children’s races are also held as part of the event, highlighting its family-friendly character. The start and finish are located at the Orzeł Palowice sports field.

Participants must bring their own water bottle or cup. The race office opens at 6:15, and the technical briefing is at 7:45. The race starts at 8:00 and ends at 16:00. The award ceremony is scheduled for 16:30/17:00. The event also includes children’s races in memory of Jacek Kostrzewa. There will also be a barbecue and an opportunity for participants to socialize. Registration is available online, and the course passes through the picturesque forest areas of Palowice.
