The Walk Around the Jelenia Góra Valley is one of Poland’s best-known long-distance hiking events, held since 2004. Participants cover a route of approximately 140 km around the Jelenia Góra Valley, crossing the Karkonosze, Rudawy Janowickie, Kaczawskie Mountains, and Izera Mountains. The event commemorates GOPR rescuers. The entry fee includes race materials, a souvenir, a hot meal, and a certificate. The route is demanding, with approximately 5,500 m of elevation gain, and participants have 48 hours to complete it.

There is no timekeeping or ranking. The entry fee includes race materials (a race number and route map), a logo souvenir (T-shirt), a hot meal and drinks at the refreshment point, water at selected checkpoints, a certificate, photography, a prize draw, and GOPR safety support. Long distance, mountain terrain, difficult weather conditions, and a memorial honoring GOPR rescuers.
